The Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) promotes excellence in music education across the state, offering students opportunities for growth through auditions, festivals, and performances. ILMEA connects students with professional development and showcases their talents at district and state levels.

The annual conference held in Peoria, Illinois brings together educators from every area and age level of music education. Featuring over 150 clinics and concerts over three days, participants come away with fresh ideas and resources.

IVC Band Program students actively participate in ILMEA through district and all-state auditions, where they have the chance to join prestigious ensembles. These experiences help students enhance their musical skills, collaborate with peers, and perform at high-profile events, contributing to their overall musical development.
